Dale Calvert

Dale graduated from the University of Arizona in 1970 with a degree in accounting. He has more than 40 years of experience with local CPA firms in Tucson and Phoenix. His experience includes extensive work with small business tax issues involving organization, operations and sale as well as assistance with financial statements and accounting. He has specialized in providing services to restaurants and other small businesses including working with clients to analyze and benchmark their financial statements.

He routinely does tax work for individuals, estates, trusts and businesses. He has worked extensively with all forms of business including corporations, S corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships.

His family moved to Tucson in 1963 from California. His father and grandfather have operated various businesses in construction, real estate development, utility service and restaurants over the last eighty-five years in Arizona and Southern California. Dale's father continued to operate both Saguaro Corners Restaurant and Rincon Ranch Estates Water Co, Inc. until his death in 2007 at which time Dale assumed operating responsibilities until he could sell those businesses.

Dale is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), the Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council and the Tucson Tax Study Group.

Dale has worked extensively on transportation issues in the community. In the past he has served on various transportation committees including the original Citizens Committee for the Regional Transportation Authority. He has served on the City of Tucson - Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee for more than twenty years and on the Parkwise Commission since the Commission was formed in 1997 including approximately ten years of Chairman.

He has also been a member of various committees for the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the government affairs committee. He has also served on other community service boards.

Dale enjoys golf and sports, particularly University of Arizona Football and Basketball.

Sara Ivester

Sara graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Sciences in Business – Accounting in 2006.  She has worked with local CPA firms since 2003 and became a partner with Dale in 2011.  She is experienced in small business tax issues, accounting and financial statement preparation.   

Sara moved to Tucson with her family in 1980 and graduated from University High School in Tucson.  Her family owns and operates a small HVAC business that she worked for during high school.  Coming from a small family run business she understands the special needs that a small business faces.  

Prior to working with local CPA firms, Sara worked as a Research Staff Intern for the Arizona State House of Representatives during the 2003 legislative session, researching state legislation and presenting fact summaries to House Members.  Additionally, she worked as an accounting software consultant for a local computer consulting company and is versed in the operations of accounting software.  

Sara is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA) and the Tucson Tax Study Group.  She is also a member of the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and serves on their Public Policy committee.
